How to Wash Synthetic Extensions and Hairpieces

 

 It's important to have a good hair extension care routine to ensure they always look their best.Synthetic hair is so easy to clean and condition.However, it is important to note that washing synthetic hair can deteriorate its quality over time. therefore, it is recommended only to wash your hair extensions when you feel it’s necessary or if it's getting dirty or starting to smell.

1-Remove all the tangles before washing your hair

2-Add a small amount of shampoo to a washbasin of cool or cold water,dont use hot water ,it may damage hair fiber.

3-Submerge your hairpiece in the bowl of water and let it sit for 5 to10 minutes.

4-Rinse the hairpiece in cool water.

5-repeat the process using the conditioner.

6-use a towel to dry the hair

7-Leave it to dry naturally.

 

sew-in hair extensions(bundles, crochet):

1-Remove all the tangles before washing your hair

2-Use cold water, DO NOT use hot water. This will damage wig fibers.

3-after your hair is wet, add some shampoo evenly into your hair, use downward motion and avoid rubbing or scrubbing as this could cause damage to your extensions.

4-Try to use a sulphate-free, shampoo and conditioner, and not the regular shampoo because it would damage extension fibers.

5-Rinse your hair in cool or cold water

6-Repeat the process, this time use the conditioner.

7-use a towel to dry the extra water.

8-allow the hair to dry naturally.
